Sen Çal Kapımı and Bir İstanbul Masalı get Arabic remakes — rising Arabic stars to lead

Two iconic Turkish dramas, Sen Çal Kapımı and Bir İstanbul Masalı, are getting Arabic remakes with fresh faces.

Sen Çal Kapımı (You Knock on My Door) and Bir İstanbul Masalı (An Istanbul Tale), two popular Turkish TV shows, are being remade into Arabic, marking a milestone in cultural crossover television. The production groups Medyapım and NTC Medya have formed a partnership to work together on the highly anticipated adaptations. There is a big TV network in the Arab world called MBC that will show these versions.

Ender Emir will direct both shows. Sen Áal Kapımı will be filmed in Istanbul starting on August 15, and the opening is set for December 20, 2025. It will not be long until the making of Bir İstanbul Masalı starts.

It’s exciting to hear that Anas Tayara and Sara Abi Kanaan will play the lead parts in the Arabic version of Sen Çal Kapımı. Fans can’t wait to see how this popular pair will play the roles that Hande Erçel and Kerem Bürsin played in the Turkish version, which became a worldwide hit thanks to their chemistry.

Sen Çal Kapımı, which was made by MF Yapım, ran from July 8, 2020, to September 8, 2021, and was a huge hit in Turkey, Latin America, and the Middle East. Bir İstanbul Masalı, which was made by TMC and aired from 2003 to 2005, is known as a classic Turkish TV show, with Mehmet Aslantuğ, Ahu Türkpençe, and Çetin Tekindor giving standout performances.

The fact that these two Turkish hits are being remade shows that Arab viewers still like them. People all over the region are looking forward to the first behind-the-scenes previews and trailers because Arab actors are playing famous parts.
