Selena Gomez says ‘f—k off’ to critics after revealing she can’t carry children
Selena Gomez has a simple reaction to those who criticize her for being upfront and sensitive about her personal struggles: “f-k off.”
At the most recent Women in Film event, the actress spoke out about her desire to be an advocate for women. She said that, despite her fame, everyone has their own problems.
Just over a week after coming clean about her infertility, the 32-year-old “Only Murders in the Building” actor made a forceful statement at a Women in Film event in Beverly Hills on Thursday night.
“I truly believe that there is power in being vulnerable and telling people when you need help or when you want help—that is not shameful,” Gomez stated during her speech at the event. She shared a video of her speech on X and other platforms, which went viral.
I told you I can’t bear a kid. Sure, I said that I’m bipolar. Go away. I live my life that way. Well, that sums me up.
While addressing the ladies at the dinner, the Emmy-nominated actress sometimes turned to her younger sister, Gracie Teefey, who is eleven years old.
“I prefer to be open and honest because I want to be a voice for women, and we all have struggles,” she said. “I am not completely organized. I’m not some kind of… Just being myself is my limit.
“Never allow anyone to tell you that you are not a good person,” she urged, her voice somewhat more forceful.
Gomez disclosed her inability to have children in an interview that Vanity Fair published on September 9.
I regret to inform you that I am unable to have biological children, which is something I have never publicly acknowledged before,” she told the publication. Because of my many medical conditions, my life and the life of the unborn child are in danger. I had to endure a period of mourning.
