Sean “Diddy” Combs shares first jail post, celebrates daughter’s birthday amidst ongoing sex trafficking trial

Sean Diddy Combs, who is awaiting trial in prison on sex trafficking accusations, has broken his social media silence by posting on his Instagram account for the first time from inside jail.

Despite his legal issues, the music mogul, currently in detention at the Metropolitan Police Department in Brooklyn, New York, sent a heartfelt birthday greeting to his two-year-old daughter Love.

He shared photographs of the young girl in a white outfit eating a piece of cake and a shot of him grinning while they played on the beach, saying, “Happy Birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy Birthday, my love! Happy birthday to you! ” Happy birthday to you, my girl; Daddy loves you.” Dana Tran, Love’s mother and Combs’ ex-girlfriend, wrote, “2 years of life and love.”

It is unclear if Diddy himself sent the message or whether it came from a member of his staff, given he is apparently prohibited from accessing his phone while in jail.

Many people were surprised by Diddy’s tweet since he is still in prison. Us Weekly announced on Monday, October 14, that two women and four unnamed males anonymously filed six lawsuits in federal court in Manhattan, accusing Diddy of rape and sexual assault. According to lawyers, the six cases are part of a group of over 100 claimed victims suing Combs.

According to reports, these incidents occurred between 1995 and 2021 at Combs’ concerts, which attracted well-known celebrities and musicians.

Tony Buzbee, the victims’ attorney in Texas, claimed he represents over 100 individuals who want to sue the artist for sexual assault, rape, and sexual exploitation. He further said that some of the alleged victims are youngsters.

However, the star’s attorneys rejected this claim, asserting in a statement that “Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—an adult or a minor, male or female.” Combs’ legal team has tried unsuccessfully to have the Bad Boy Records founder freed on bond.

Last month, a court dismissed a $50 million bail offer that included home confinement and electronic monitoring, citing Combs’ threat to witnesses and the continuing investigation. Accusations of gang conspiracy and sex trafficking have landed Combs in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he has pleaded not guilty.
