Say goodbye: 5 jobs AI is taking over

As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more advanced and integrated into various fields and industries, many popular technical jobs are expected to vanish in five years as AI will take over these roles.
10 jobs AI is taking over
Steve Burns, an economic expert, stated that nearly 10 middle-class jobs are most likely to disappear by 2030, just five years from now, due to the rapid growth, development, and integration of artificial intelligence (AI). Notably, Burns advised employees to develop their skills in order to secure better job opportunities in the future.
1. Tax Preparers and Accountants
Burns stated that tax preparers and accountants are likely to lose their jobs in the next five years as more software and AI programs continue to take over in recent years.
These new software programs can easily and efficiently import financial data, identify potential deductions, and generate accurate returns.
2. Legal Assistants
Legal assistants are being replaced with multiple AI programs and software that can analyze thousands of pages in minutes and identify relevant information within limited time.
3. Financial Advisors
As more financial AI programs and platforms gain popularity, the need for human financial advisors is expected to decline over the next five years.
These AI financial advisors can easily analyze clients’ financial information, recommend diversified investment portfolios based on risk preferences, and automatically rebalance investments.
4. Data Entry Employees
Data entry jobs are among the first roles that AI is expected to take over in the coming years, due to the rise of advanced applications and programs developed in recent years.
AI systems can quickly and accurately extract information from paper documents using optical character recognition (OCR), process unstructured data from multiple sources, and input the information into databases automatically.
5. Proofreaders and Content Writers
AI-powered language software has significantly improved its ability to generate coherent and linguistically accurate content.
These programs can easily produce basic articles, product descriptions, and reports with minimal human intervention, while also handling grammar and spelling checks automatically.
Unfortunately, many content writers are finding it increasingly difficult to secure jobs, as AI tools offer faster and more cost-effective alternatives for businesses.
“While technological change eliminates specific job categories, it simultaneously creates new opportunities. The World Economic Forum projects that while AI and robotics will displace 92 million jobs by 2030, they will also create 170 million new roles in areas like AI development, data science, and human-AI collaboration,” Burns concluded.
