Saudi Crown Prince, Iraqi PM discuss military escalation in the region

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani on Wednesday.
“During the call, they discussed the military escalation in the region and its repercussions on regional security and stability,” SPA said.
Al-Sudani “emphasized the need to halt the attacks that pose a threat to regional and international peace and security,” the agency added.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran that killed its supreme leader and triggered a war in the Middle East. Tehran has responded with drone and missile attacks across the region, including strikes that have hit neighboring countries that say they are neither involved in the war nor have allowed warring parties to launch attacks from their territory.
