Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court calls on Muslims to sight Eid crescent moon

Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court has called on Muslims across the Kingdom to sight the crescent moon on Saturday evening.
The decision will help confirm whether Eid al-Fitr will fall on Sunday, March 30, 2025, or if Ramadan will extend by another day.
In an official announcement, the Supreme Court called on anyone who sights the moon—either with the naked eye or using binoculars—to report their observation to the nearest court and register their testimony.
Eid al-Fitr is one of the most significant Islamic holidays.
Islamic calendar months typically last either 29 or 30 days. With Ramadan having begun on March 1, Shawwal is expected to commence on either March 30 or 31.
