Rubio, Prince Faisal discuss need to end Sudan war, developments in Yemen

The top US diplomat and Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister discussed the need to end the war in Sudan and recent developments in Yemen, the State Department said on Tuesday.

“Secretary Rubio spoke today with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to welcome the outcomes of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s successful visit to Washington, which underscored the strength of the US-Saudi partnership,” State Department Spokesman Tommy Pigott said.

Pigott also said the two discussed “discussed developments in Yemen and the urgent need to advance peace efforts in Sudan.”
