Reason behind Turkish actor Serhat Kılıç’s death likely known
Fans were shocked by the passing of actor Serhat Kılıç, who was found dead inside his home in Kağıthane by his girlfriend, Özlem Esmergül, Turkish media outlets reported.
According to CNN Turk, Esmergül said she didn’t hear any news from Serhat Kılıç, 51, for days, and when she went to his house to check on him, she found the actor motionless.
The incident occurred yesterday around 5:00 p.m. in the Nurtepe neighborhood of Kağıthane. According to the initial information, the girlfriend of Serhat Kılıç had not heard from him since Thursday.
Esmergül knocked on the door but received no answer, so she entered the house. She found Kılıç sitting in the armchair in the living room and noticed that he wasn’t breathing and his body was cold. She requested assistance from the Emergency Call Center.
Turkish authorities launched a probe into the death of the actor to determine the reason behind his mysterious death.

His girlfriend, Özlem Esmergül, whom the police contacted for information, revealed that the actor had lymphoma, which is a type of cancer that starts in the infection-fighting white blood cells known as “lymphocytes,” which are part of the body’s immune and lymphatic systems.
Despite his girlfriend’s announcement of his illness, the prosecutor examined the body of Serhat Kılıç then it was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the exact cause of death.
