Piers Morgan apologizes to Jay-Z and Beyoncé on Uncensored

Piers Morgan apologized to Jay-Z and Beyoncé after a guest on his show Uncensored made accusations they claimed were “totally false.”

Wright, a singer, recently appeared on Morgan’s Uncensored program, where she discussed Sean “Diddy” Combs’ recent incarceration. “For four years I’ve been screaming, not just Diddy, but Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters,” Wright said during her interview. She further stated that Jay-Z and Beyoncé both had hundreds of victims.

The attorneys for Jay-Z and Beyoncé contacted Morgan on Tuesday, stating that the charges were “totally false and have no basis in fact.”

“The thing about platforms—the reality of the modern world is that pretty much everyone has a platform as long as they have something to say that other people want to hear,” Morgan said to his fellow attendees. That’s why we extended an invitation to Right for an interview. The folks making these allegations have an audience, whether they watch programs like mine or not.”

He went on to say, “Unexpectedly, Jaguar made some severe charges against Jay-Z and Beyonce during that interview. I said they couldn’t answer or defend themselves, but now they can. We had attorneys approach us to say that such assertions were completely incorrect and had no foundation in truth; therefore, we followed a legal order to remove them from the initial interview.”

Morgan ended his speech with a frank apology. “Editing interviews is not something we do lightly on a program named Uncensored,” Morgan continued. “Like the typical shouts of fire in a packed theater, there are legal constraints on us as well.” “And we apologize to Jay-Z and Beyoncé.”

Wright has worked with the hip-hop group The Roots and performed as Jay-Z’s backup vocalist.

She has already filed grievances with various industry personalities via her own social media outlets.

Morgan asked her to talk about the current legal fight against Mr. Combs, who was arrested last month on allegations of racketeering and sex trafficking.

Despite his denial of any criminal conduct, he remains in detention following the refusal of bail.

Morgan’s program now airs on YouTube after departing TalkTV in the UK earlier this year.
