New One Punch Man Season 3 trailer sparks concern

Just one month from its premiere, One Punch Man Season 3 has finally received another preview trailer, revealing new visuals and its opening song by Jam Project, featuring Babymetal.
The preview has sparked concern among fans due to its minimal animation, despite a visible improvement in character design and art direction compared to season 2. Fans took to platforms such as X (formerly known as Twitter), comparing One Punch Man Season 1, which was animated by Japanese anime giant Studio Madhouse, to J.C.Staff’s adaptation.

A social media user wrote on X, “People will see these clips without any movement and still believe this production isn’t absolutely cooked.”
Another added, “One PowerPoint man!! In 2025!?”
A fan wrote in response, “This short PV is not indicative of the animation quality lol, either way the comp and drawings look strong.”
Other fans compared the preview to Studio Mappa’s new adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen’s Culling Games arc, pointing out the differences in visuals, animation, and the overall production quality.
While it’s unfair to judge a show solely on a short preview, the lack of movement remains concerning, especially when the anime is only one month away.
One Punch Man Season 3 is set to premiere on October 4, with Jam Project returning with the song “Get No Satisfied!” featuring Babymetal.
According to several reports, fans are expected to receive another trailer for Season 3 during the “One-Punch Man Maji Music festival” on September 14.
According to its official website, Shinpei Nagai will direct the new season alongside Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda, and Ryosuke Shirakawa for character design, and Makoto Miyazaki for music.
