Miley Cyrus and Louis Vuitton drop new Bangerz song “Doctor”
Miley Cyrus has teamed up with Louis Vuitton to release a new version of her unreleased song “Doctor” from her 2013 album Bangerz.
The song, which features new vocals and lyrics, is part of the luxury brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, which showcases the Flora Fantasy collection.
Cyrus, who is a longtime fan and friend of Louis Vuitton’s artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière, said she was honored to collaborate with the fashion house and share her music with a new audience. “I’ve always loved Louis Vuitton and Nicolas’ vision. He’s a genius and a visionary. I’m so grateful to be part of this campaign and to bring ‘Doctor’ to life in a new way,” she said in a press release.
The song, which was originally recorded in 2012 but never made it to the final tracklist of Bangerz, is a catchy pop tune that showcases Cyrus’ vocal range and attitude. The new version, which was produced by Mike Will Made It, features updated lyrics that reflect Cyrus’ personal growth and empowerment. “I don’t need a doctor, I can heal myself / I don’t need a lover, I can love myself / I don’t need a prescription, I can cure myself / I don’t need a miracle, I am one myself,” she sings in the chorus.
The song is accompanied by a stunning video, directed by Harmony Korine, that features Cyrus wearing various outfits from the Flora Fantasy collection, which is inspired by nature and femininity. The video, which was shot in a tropical setting, also features models, dancers, and exotic animals, creating a whimsical and colorful atmosphere.
The song and the video are available to stream and download on Louis Vuitton’s website and social media platforms. Fans can also shop the Flora Fantasy collection, which includes ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes, and fragrances, on the brand’s online store and selected boutiques.
