Mastercard stated that the rate of identifying compromised cards has doubled since the service launched in 2023.
Mastercard and cyber security
According to Reuters, Mastercard is recently focusing on cybersecurity due to the rapid adoption of new technologies and increased risk of cyberthreats. The company is now offering advanced cybersecurity services, including fraud identification and prevention.
The recent acquisition is expected to be finalized on the first quarter of 2025 and will enhance Mastercard’s ability to effectively and successfully compete in the cybersecurity sector.
