Magnitude 5 earthquake strikes Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region

An earthquake of magnitude 5 struck the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region on Friday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6 miles), GFZ said.
