Magnitude 5.8 earthquake strikes Philippines region

A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck Mindanao, Philippines region on Friday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.

The quake was 82 km (50.95 miles) below the Earth’s surface, the EMSC said.
