Kerem Bürsin reacts to the actors playing him and Hande Erçel in the Arabic “Sen Çal Kapımı”

Kerem Bürsin finally speaks out on the Arabic remake casting choices.
Kerem Bürsin has finally given his opinions on the Arabic rendition of his global smash “Sen Çal Kapımı” during an exclusive conversation with ET Arabic. The Turkish actor said he didn’t even know the series was in the works, which made his reaction real and personal.
The interviewer’s announcement about the adaptation actually started Bürsin. But that astonishment didn’t last long; it swiftly evolved into exhilaration. Kerem explained that seeing a story he once carried now being retold in another language is “fantastic.” He praised the universal nature of the series, saying that a story touching multiple cultures is “amazing,” and he added that he would be thrilled to watch the new version when it airs.
Then the actor was shown a picture of Anas Tayara, who will play the same role that Kerem did in the first series. Kerem grinned and answered with humor and modesty. “He’s much better than me,” he said. “I hope he puts on a great show… and I think he will.”

When he saw a picture of Haya Maraachli, who will play Eda, the role that Hande Erçel originally played, he was just as polite. He continued, “I hope they will both be even better than us,” remaining true to his reputation for being humble and kind.
Fans were also amazed when Kerem casually used Arabic terms during the conversation. He told us why: he spent a lot of his childhood in the UAE. “I lived in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from 1994 to 2000,” he said. He went to school there for a few years before moving to other nations.
Kerem said that living in different cultures changed the way he saw the world. “I know that you here are more accustomed to the expat lifestyle,” he explained. “But when you get older, you really appreciate all the places you’ve been and the people you’ve met.”
With his charm, sincerity, and encouraging words for the new cast, Kerem Bürsin once again proved why he remains one of the most beloved stars in the region.
