Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), the American fast-food chain known for its fried chicken, is relocating to Texas. There are rumors that the brand will rebrand itself as Texas Fried Chicken (TFC) in the process.
KFC moves from Kentucky to Texas
The international famous chain restaurant is moving its headquarters from Kentucky city to Texas city as announced by officials. Multiple companies have moved their operations to Texas city over the past years as the city offers lower taxes and business-friendly policies.
KFC will shift its corporate headquarters to Texas but will keep some operations in Kentucky, including its KFC Foundation, an independent organization that supports and empowers more KFC restaurant employees, students, and community non-profits across the US.
Yum Brands, the American multinational fast-food corporation that acquires KFC sated that this move is aimed to sustain the restaurant’s growth and increase its revenues.
David Gibbs, Yum Brands’ chief executive, said: “These changes position us for sustainable growth and will help us better serve our customers, employees, franchisees and shareholders.”
