Iran war live: Tehran vows retaliation for Israeli hits on nuclear sites

Israel has attacked two nuclear facilities and two major steel plants, actions for which Iran’s FM Araghchi says it will carry out “heavy” retaliation.
The attacks came despite US President Donald Trump’s promise to further delay attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure by 10 days – until April 6 – as he continues to claim talks with Iran on a peace deal are going “very well”.
Our fingers on the trigger for direct military intervention’: Houthis
Spokesperson of Yemen’s Houthis, Yahya Saree, says the group’s finger is on the “trigger for direct military intervention” if certain conditions are met to join the war.

Setting out five points, Saree called for the US and Israel to respond to international diplomatic efforts to stop the war with Iran and “the countries of the Axis of Resistance”, including Lebanon.

“This aggression is unjust, oppressive, and unwarranted, harming global and regional stability and security, and damaging the global economy,” he said.

The second point he was referring to was the cessation of aggression in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran and lifting the “unjust blockade on Yemen.”

Third, the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire and fulfilling obligations when it comes to humanitarian deliveries and the legitimate rights of Palestinians.

He explained that the Houthis would participate in military intervention if the following cases were triggered:

If new countries join the US and Israel in the war against IranIf the use of the Red Sea was used to target Iran or any Muslim countryIf the war continues to escalate against Iran and the “axis of resistence”

In the final point, he warned against “any unjust measures aimed at tightening the siege on the Yemeni people.”

‘Difficult and painful’ as telephone diplomacy continues over Iran war: Turkiye
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan says he will be meeting his Egyptian, Saudi and Pakistani counterparts in Pakistan over the weekend to discuss the US-Israeli war with Iran.

Fidan, who was asked about Turkiye’s role in the war, told the Turkish news channel A Haber that telephone diplomacy was ongoing and that they were currently in the middle of a “difficult and painful” process.

He added that Turkiye was working to prevent the escalation of mistrust between Iran and the neighbouring countries following Iranian attacks.

“That’s exactly the scenario Israel wants, for the Muslim countries engaging in a long-term regional war,” Fidan said.
