‘Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı’ to end with 43rd episode: Finale date revealed

Halef prepares to say goodbye after 43 episodes.

Another Turkish television series is preparing to leave the screen. ‘Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı’, starring İlhan Şen and Biran Damla Yılmaz, will reportedly conclude with its 43rd episode, bringing its story to an end earlier than many viewers expected.

According to journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the decision comes as the Turkish television industry continues to face financial difficulties amid declining advertising revenues. The Most Production drama, which attracted a strong audience last season and spent a long period among the leading shows on Thursday nights, is now preparing for its final episode.

Halef: Köklerin ÇağrısıAltuntaş reported on Friday, November 6, that filming for the finale is scheduled to begin on Sunday. The series will officially say goodbye with its 43rd episode, although NOW has not yet shared a separate announcement confirming the final broadcast date.

When Will ‘Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı’ End?

The series is expected to air its final episode on Thursday, November 19, 2026, if it maintains its regular weekly schedule.

Its 41st episode aired on November 5, meaning the next two episodes are expected to be broadcast on November 12 and November 19. This would make the 43rd episode the final chapter of the story.

The drama normally airs on Thursday evenings on NOW. However, the November 19 date should be treated as the expected finale date until the channel confirms it through its official schedule.

‘Halef’ Ratings Before the Final Decision

The latest ratings also attracted attention following the series’ performance on Thursday, November 5.

According to the figures reported by Birsen Altuntaş, the episode ranked seventh in the Total category with a rating of 4.07. It also placed seventh in AB with 2.87 and ninth in ABC1 with 3.37.

Although the series previously enjoyed a stronger position in the Thursday ratings competition, its recent performance appears to have added pressure to its future.

Last season, ‘Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı’ built a loyal audience and regularly competed for the top position. Its latest results, however, came as the television industry faced wider challenges related to advertising income and production costs.

Another Turkish Series Leaves the Screen

‘Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı’ is the latest production reported to be ending amid a difficult period for Turkish television. Several other series, including ‘A.B.İ.’, ‘Aşk ve Taht’, ‘Çirkin’, ‘Mercan Köşk’ and ‘Sevdam Karadeniz’, have also reportedly concluded or faced final decisions since September.

Produced by Most Production, ‘Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı’ features İlhan Şen and Biran Damla Yılmaz in the leading roles. The story follows family conflicts, secrets and complicated relationships, with its setting in Şanlıurfa playing an important part in the drama.

With filming for the final episode expected to begin this Sunday, the cast and production team are preparing to bring the series to a close. Viewers now have only two more episodes to watch before the reported 43rd-episode farewell.
