George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s divorce could cost $300M

Several reports reveal that the potential divorce between George Clooney and his Lebanese wife Amal Alamuddin could reportedly cost the American actor up to $300 million.

The divorce rumors come amid claims that the couple have grown even further apart due to the nature of their careers and living miles away from each other, as reported by Radar Online.

While Clooney has been invested in his acting career by taking on projects like a new Broadway play “Good Night, And Good Luck” in New York, Amal is fixated on continuing her career as a law professor at Oxford University, in the UK.

According to Radar Online, reports indicate that George Clooney will receive $300,000 per week for starring in the New York Broadway show but also revealed that the cash might not even make it into his pockets amid the divorce rumors.

A source claimed “They have been papering over the cracks for years… Once the play is over, they’ll likely go their separate ways. And he’ll be needing every penny of that $300,000 a week for his divorce war chest—because this split is gonna cost monster money. She’s a lawyer for Pete’s sake!”

While rumors about a potential divorce aren’t new, the couple were recently spotted in St. Tropez, but eyewitnesses claimed that “Neither of them looked happy,” hinting that the split up might happen sooner than expected.
