We finally got the first official statement we’ve been anxiously waiting for.
While he was on his way to dine out, reporters have spotted Turkish actor Kerem Bürsin and interviewed him for 6+ minutes outside on the street.
The handsome Turkish actor revealed that he has just finished filming a scene for his hit series Sen Çal Kapımı (You Knock on My Door).
At first, Kerem was quite the gentleman by checking on the journalists filming this interview in the freezing weather. Reporters did the same and asked him if it’s hard to work in such cold conditions especially if he’s filming an outdoor scene.
Kerem responded that it is really hard and not only for him, but for the crew too especially since they carry heavy equipment.
Outside of work, Bürsin said that he likes to spend his time playing sports, which led reporters to ask him about his singing experience in New Year’s Eve Special when he performed at O Ses Türkiye (The Voice Turkey).
The Turkish actor described the experience as a nice thing, but definitely not like singing while showering. He also confirmed that he will not perform in the future unless he participates in a musical play like he did in the past.
When asked about the things he couldn’t do in 2020 because of the pandemic, Kerem declared that he wasn’t able to meet his nephew, and he saw his family very few times, adding that there is a positive side of 2020, which is appreciating our freedom.
One reporter asked Kerem if he discovered a skill he didn’t know he has during lockdown, like some people started cooking.
Bürsin answered that he likes puzzles a lot, but most importantly he focused on staying positive by doing the things he love, and that it was a good time for self improvement.
Questions then moved to the behind the scenes environment of Sen Çal Kapımı, and Kerem confirmed that it is so much fun and that everyone gets along, adding that there’s a lot of harmony and respect between crew members in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
Reporters moved on and talked about the love between Eda Yıldız (played by Hande Erçel) and Serkan Bolat (played by Kerem Bürsin), and quoted that there are a lot of rumors stating that it’s real.
Kerem explained the reason why people might find it real, saying that it’s because he and Hande have met before filming the show and got to know each other as ‘co-workers’, adding that they did their best with the support of their acting coach, in addition to the strong scenario of the show.
As for the pictures he and Hande recently took and teased each other with on social media, the actor clarified that they were taken while they were on set and not as if they go out.
In the end, Bürsin confirmed that he and Erçel have become close friends because they spend 24 hours of time together at work, so it is an inevitable result to become friends whether they want it or not.
Kerem also confirmed that his mother not only commented on Hande Erçel’s picture, but also met her and the rest of the cast when she and Kerem’s father visited the set.
