Fifth Harmony to reunite as a group with Camila Cabello after years apart
Fans of Fifth Harmony may soon have a reason to celebrate, as the popular girl group is reportedly in talks to reunite after six years of hiatus.
What’s more, the reunion would include all five original members, including Camila Cabello, who left the group in 2016 amid a bitter feud.
According to Page Six, a source close to the group revealed that Normani, Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Cabello are keen to get back together and record a new song, inspired by the viral resurgence of their past hits on TikTok. The source also claimed that the reunion would not affect the solo careers of Cabello and Normani, who are both working on their upcoming albums.
Fifth Harmony was formed on the second season of “The X Factor” in 2012, and went on to release three studio albums and seven headlining tours. They also collaborated with artists such as Ty Dolla Sign, Kid Ink, and Fetty Wap. However, in 2016, Cabello announced her departure from the group, citing creative differences and a lack of communication. The remaining four members continued as a quartet until 2018, when they announced an indefinite hiatus to pursue solo projects.
Since then, Cabello has become one of the most successful solo artists in the industry, with three Grammy nominations and hits such as “Havana”, “Señorita”, and “My Oh My”. Normani has also made a name for herself with songs like “Motivation”, “Dancing with a Stranger”, and “Wild Side”. Jauregui, Brooke, and Jane have also released solo music and explored other ventures.
The possibility of a Fifth Harmony reunion has sparked excitement among fans, who have been hoping for a reconciliation between the former bandmates. In fact, the group has shown signs of healing and support for each other in recent months. Last year, Brooke revealed on the “Zach Sang Show” that the group had regained ownership of their trademark, and that they were “slowly reuniting in a healing and empowering way”. Last month, Cabello, Jauregui, Brooke, and Jane all left positive comments on Normani’s Instagram post announcing her debut album, “Dopamine”.
While no official announcement has been made yet, fans are eagerly awaiting more news on the potential Fifth Harmony comeback. As one fan tweeted, “Fifth Harmony reunion with Camila Cabello? Yes please!”
