Ex-air India scrap plane gets stuck under bridge in Bihar

En route from Mumbai to Assam, a scrapped plane created chaos in Bihar’s East Champaran district as it became wedged beneath an overbridge.

The incident, causing a massive traffic jam on the national highway, occurred when the driver misjudged the height of the consignment concerning the overbridge.

A police officer, speaking anonymously, stated, “Prima facie, it appears that the driver of the vehicle misjudged the underneath height of the overbridge vis-a-vis the height of the consignment being carried on the vehicle and as a result, it got stuck beneath the overbridge.”

Video footage circulating on social media captured the moment and the subsequent slow extraction of the plane with the help of local truck drivers.
