Erdogan says Turkey hopes Syria’s integration deal implemented without delay

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that he hoped a US-backed ceasefire deal between Damascus and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) would be implemented without any delays or stalling.
The deal foresees Syria’s Kurdish-run regions being merged with Damascus. Speaking after a cabinet meeting, Erdogan added that the agreement had opened a “new page” for the people of Syria.
