Eminem makes a surprise appearance at ‘Stans’ premiere

 Iconic Detroit rapper Eminem recently shocked his fans after making a surprise appearance at the world premiere of his documentary “Stans” in New York City. 

The event took place at The Rooftop at Pier 17, with Eminem showing up on stage to celebrate the documentary’s world premiere. The rapper added during his speech, “It is so crazy to me that over my career I was able to impact people.”

However, the renowned rapper was forced to pause a few times in response to shouting fans. According to a video flooding social media, a fan kept yelling, “I love you,” and after several yells, Eminem responded, “I love you too, God damnit.”

“Stan” is considered one of Eminem’s most impactful and popular songs. The track’s iconic music video and lyrics featured a fictional story about an obsessed fan going to extreme levels, while showcasing his mental health deteriorating by the minute. While fictional, the rapper did reveal that he took reference from real-life experiences with intense fan mail.

The song also explores heavy subjects like mental issues, suicide, and obsession to raise awareness among passionate fans of the rapper. Eminem expressed how he didn’t expect “Stan” to be “such a big deal when he was writing it.

Devon Sawa, the actor featured in the “Stan” music video, also made a surprise appearance at the event, 25 years later, alongside his son, who took a picture with the iconic rapper.

Sawa took to Instagram with a heartfelt message and wrote, “25 years ago I worked with one of the greatest musicians of all time. Today he met my son. What a ride.”
