Elon Musk ’s father denies claims of Nazi salute, calling them ‘Rubbish’

Errol Musk defends Elon Musk, denying allegations of a Nazi salute, calling claims “absolute rubbish.”

In an exclusive interview with NewsNation’s “CUOMO,” billionaire Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, shared his thoughts on his son’s cooperation with Republicans and President Donald Trump during the 2024 election, as well as the fact that he is now a significant player in the Trump administration.

Errol Musk chuckled and defended his kid against accusations that he had made a Nazi salute, describing the charge as “rubbish” and “absolute nonsense.”

Speaking to a sizable crowd at Capital One Arena on Monday, Musk expressed gratitude to the audience for their support in electing Trump. With his right hand, he grasped the left side of his chest and held out his arm at an elevated angle. Musk repeated the action after turning around. He said, “My thoughts and prayers are with you.”

In response to criticism of the stage gesture, Errol Musk noted that other politicians had used the same hand signals without incident.

With a net worth of over $400 billion, Elon Musk is largely considered the richest man in the world and has had a significant impact on politics, technology, and space.

Speaking about his own political background, the elder Musk mentioned that he had run twice for parliament for a party that opposed South Africa’s apartheid. He also disclosed that his grandfather had a family link to the Jewish community.

Errol Musk described his son’s political change, emphasizing a move from Democratic support to Trump support. He ascribed this shift to the alleged snub that former President Joe Biden received for not inviting Tesla to a 2021 White House electric vehicle event.

When Biden invited all of the electric car makers to the White House in 2021 but left Tesla out, he began to change. Errol Musk told NewsNation, “Tesla produced a million cars, while the other five manufacturers produced only about 26 and hadn’t even sold one.”

“Elon was unable to comprehend that. He began calling the administration “loony” and Biden a madman, according to Errol Musk.

Errol Musk expressed how his father’s open support of Trump in 2016 offended Elon and his brother. He implied that Elon’s present support for Trump is a result of his sense of exclusion from the Democratic Party.

Musk founded SpaceX, the market leader in reusable rockets, after co-founding and selling PayPal. He eventually acquired Twitter, where his influence increased, and was an early investor in Tesla, which produces millions of electric cars.
