Doja Cat highlights crisis in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, and Congo at Global Citizen Festival
At the Global Citizen Festival, Doja Cat brought attention to the suffering of millions of people in Palestine, Ukraine, Sudan, the Congo, and other nations.
The Global Citizens Festival made a comeback to Central Park in New York City on Saturday, September 28. Speakers and performers included Doja Cat, Post Malone, LISA, Benson Boone, and more.
Participating in Global Citizen activities, which support efforts to reduce poverty and save the environment, earns tickets for the entirely free event. Hugh Jackman served as the event’s host, while performers included RAYE, Post Malone, Lisa, and environmental campaigner Dr. Jane Goodall. Chris Martin of Coldplay also made an appearance.
Say So, Demons, Agora Hills, Paint the Town Red, and other hits were among the songs Doja Cat sang during her main show. She also took a minute to raise awareness about the damage and conflicts that are occurring across the globe.
Millions of men, women, and children are suffering right now in Gaza, the Ukraine, Sudan, the Congo, and all across the globe. Doja Cat addressed the assembly, saying, “In times like these, it’s important to remember that we are empowered to bring change, love, light, and hope to those who need it most.”
After giving an explanation of her decision to work with Global Citizen, she pleaded with the audience to keep raising awareness and offering assistance wherever they could to end suffering worldwide. “Please keep using your voice to help those fleeing violence get the food, shelter, and education they need and very, very much deserve.”
Each and every one of you who has chosen to be here tonight and sees this is beautiful in strength. Now is the time to invest in life, which is the most important thing.”
