Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc Movie gets a release date

The long-awaited Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc movie has finally received a release date as fans of the beloved anime and manga took to social media to showcase their excitement about the announcement during AnimeJapan 2025.
The long-anticipated movie is scheduled to release in Japanese cinemas on Sept. 19, 2025 and to celebrate the announcement, 12 character visuals were also revealed alongside the release date. Studio Mappa is returning to animate the movie but Tatsuya Yoshihara is replacing Season 1’s Ryu Nakayama as director hence the visible style change in animation production.

Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc’s first trailer was revealed back in December 2024 at Jump Festa ’25 sparking widespread excitement. Unforutently, we will have to wait more for new footage since the new 30-second trailer revealed, showcases the same visuals shared at Jump Festa.
Thanks to its stunning visuals by Studio Mappa, unique power system, interesting characters, and compelling storyline, the first season of Chainsaw Man is considered one of the best shonen anime of the present time, competing alongside titles such as Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Solo Leveling, and many more.

Denji became “Chainsaw Man,” a boy with a devil’s heart, and is now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters. After a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain. There he meets Reze, a girl who works in a café.
