Celebs congratulate Saudi for winning Expo 2030

Arabic celebrities have taken to social media to share their happiness and pride after Saudi Arabia was picked to host Expo 2030.

On Tuesday night, Saudi Arabia officially won the bid to host Expo 2030, garnering an impressive 119 votes. The voting was held in Paris, where Riyadh faced off against South Korea and Italy.

Arabic celebrities took to their social media to celebrate and congratulate the Kingdom for this huge achievement after it was picked to host Expo 2030.

“We had a fantastic team of ministers going around the world, engaging our counterparts in a very, very active way to understand what they expected, what they were looking for and what we should deliver in order to gain their trust,” Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud said after winning.

Carole Samaha, a Lebanese singer, has posted on her Instagram to congratulate Saudi for winning the bid to hold World Expo 2030.

She wrote: “This is not unusual for Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom. I congratulate Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman.”

Rashed Al Majid, a Saudi singer and actor, said on X account: “Congratulations to us for hosting the Expo 2023.” He maintained: “The impossible is not Saudi.”

Ahlam Alshamsi

Emirati singer and actress Ahlam Alshamsi posted on her Instagram account where she is followed by over 15.4 million followers, hailing the great success of Saudi Arabia after winning the Expo 2030 bid.

She wrote: “We congratulate the Servant of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia, the victory of Riyadh to organize Expo 2030.”

Many other celebs also congratulated Saudi Arabia for its victory in hosting Expo 2030 including Kuwaiti singer and actress Nawal El Kuwaitia, Turki Alalshikh, and Saudi TV personality Elham Ali.

About Expo 2030

Expo 2030 will officially be held in the GCC country of Saudi Arabia. It will take place for six months from late 2030 to early 2031.

According to sources, Expo 2030 will be launched on Oct. 1, 2030, and ends on March 31, 2031.
