Beyoncé dazzles in gold as she honors mom Tina Knowles at Glamour Awards

Gold seems to be Beyoncé’s go-to recently, as the singer and entrepreneur shone at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in a sleek gold outfit to support her mother.

On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in New York City, Tina Knowles received recognition.

Beyoncé looked stunning in a light yellow top with a matching belt at the waist, tucked into a gold Sergio Hudson Spring/Summer 2025 skirt, and finished with pale yellow mesh gloves and gold platform shoes.

She transformed her signature white-blonde hair into a Marilyn Monroe-inspired updo. She paired her ensemble with extravagant earrings, gold makeup, and a glossy nude lip.

Beyoncé came to the event wearing a long fur coat and holding a black and gold purse. She also wore cat-eye sunglasses with gradient designs.

As her 70-year-old mother received recognition, Beyoncé appeared emotional in the crowd.

Tina added, reflecting on her job as a mother, “I’ve been fortunate in my life to accomplish so many things. I’ve worked in a variety of positions, but being a mother has always been the finest job I’ve ever had. I’ve had the luxury of parenting and assisting with the upbringing of four girls. Two were born to me, and two were gifts from God.” Beyonce was passionate and teary-eyed throughout her address.

Tina, who is also Solange Knowles’ mother, went on to say, “I was a rebel when I was younger, so I was a young woman… but the day I became a mother, I decided that this is the one thing I will not fail at.”

Another video from the occasion shows Beyoncé smiling as she poses for photographs with her mother and friend and former Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland. Rowland wore a black-and-gold Gaurav Gupta outfit.
