AURORA sings for Palestine and Gaza children
Norwegian singer-songwriter and record producer Aurora Aksnes took to the stage to sing for all the kids dying in the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7.
Although the performance was recorded before the October 7 incident, a user on Instagram stated that even though the song is not recent, it was performed at a “music for Palestine” event.
Aurora made her stance with the Palestinian people clear as she demanded Israel to stop bombing Gaza and to ceasefire in a post on her official Instagram account six weeks ago with multiple other posts following it on the matter.
AURORA sings for Palestine and Gaza children
The song tells the story of a mother with her child sleeping in her arms and a bleeding heart, while Aurora asks “When will every child be free?” after singing one of Palestine’s most well-known slogans “From the river to the sea” referencing that original chant pro-Palestine people use which is:
“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
she shared a screenshot from a comment section on her official Instagram account of a user wishing harm on her future child and said:
“I wish that one day, your kid will be in the hands of Hamas! It’s so easy to speak…”
Aurora replied by wishing the exact opposite for this user’s children and their safety and added that no one is evil for simply being Jewish or Israeli, just like no one is evil just for being Palestinian or Muslim.
AURORA joins the boycott movement!
On Nov. 6, 2023, Aurora listed several products to boycott as they support the occupying state of Israel including Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Marks and Spencer, Pepsi, Nestle, and more as mentioned in the post embedded above.
The caption said Boycott brands, not people. Just another day of not buying these products.”
One user replied with “I work at McDonald’s :(” while she replied “I get that that is difficult. It’s better you take their money. As long as we don’t give them ours. ❤️”
