Anime coming to Netflix in 2025 and beyond
Popular streaming platform Netflix, has proven to be one step ahead of its competitors such as Disney+ and Prime Video when it comes to anime due to pushing for more titles while also fairly promoting them across social media.
2025 is looking packed for anime with many titles also coming to Netflix including manga and video game adaptations such as Sakomoto Days, Devil May Cry, and the return of Castlevania Nocturne. Today we will be mentioning our favorite titles coming to Netflix in 2025 and beyond.
Anime coming to Netflix in 2025 and beyond
Devil May Cry Season 1
From the same animation studio behind Castlevania, comes the anime adaptation of the beloved hack-and-slash video game franchise, Devil May Cry with none other than the white-haired devil hunter Dante as its main character.
The anime will be written and produced by American film producer and screenwriter, Adi Shankar who also had a hand in creating the Castlevania anime. The show is scheduled to release in Apr. 2025.
Castlevania Nocturne Season 2
Castlevania Nocturne is returning for season two, debuting in Jan. 2025. According to Netflix, many characters from the first season are returning including Richter, Maria, Annette, Edouard, and Tera but have gone through changes due to several encounters with the vampire cadre.
It will pick up from when the French Revolution erupts so expect an action-packed season, full of interesting and intense events. Castlevania is the show that put Powerhouse Animation on the map due to its excellent adaptation of the video game franchise.
Sakamoto Days
Despite receiving mixed reactions from fans of the manga due to recent trailers showcasing its animation quality, we are still looking forward to the Sakamoto Days anime due to its brilliant cast of voice actors such as Sugita Tomokazu as Sakamoto who is best known for voicing Gintoki from Gintama.
The opening song by Japanese artist Vaundy also sounds as catchy and spectacular as ever. Netflix users can expect Sakamoto Days to hit the streaming platform on Jan. 2025.
Untitled Cyberpunk 2077 anime
Due to Studio Trigger’s massive success with the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, CD Projekt Red (the developers behind the original game) and Netflix announced that they are cooking up a new untitled Cyberpunk anime.
By the time of writing this article, there haven’t been any details about the title other than its announcement during Netflix’s Geeked Week event.
One Piece Remake by Wit Studio
To everyone’s surprise, since neither the anime adaptation by Toei animation nor the manga has ended, Wit Studio which animated the first two seasons of Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, and The Great Pretender, is going to be reanimating One Piece from the beginning with a new production staff.
According to Netflix, the One Piece anime remake is currently in production without a set release date.
