Am Yisrael Chai: Video of Mia Khalifa confronting Jewish mom goes viral
Former adult film star Mia Khalifa has been accused of antisemitism after she posted a video of a heated exchange with a Jewish woman in Miami on Monday.
Khalifa, who is of Lebanese origin, claimed that the woman followed her and called her slurs for her support of Palestine amid the ongoing violence in the Middle East.
In the video, which has gone viral on social media, the woman can be heard saying “Am Yisrael Chai”, a Hebrew phrase meaning “The people of Israel live”. Khalifa responds by telling her to “get away from me” and mocking her for her breath and accent. She also asks the woman’s son if he is proud of his mother.
Khalifa captioned the video: “The Zionists are losing the plot. She followed me through the lobby calling me slurs and didn’t stop the entire time she was waiting for her UberPool at the Antique Jewelry Fair. She’s a vendor- something she made abundantly clear so I guess this is what her business stands for.”
The video has sparked outrage among many Jewish and pro-Israel users, who have slammed Khalifa for her disrespect towards the woman.
Khalifa has been vocal about her stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict, which has escalated in recent weeks. She has expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza. She has also donated to several humanitarian organizations that provide aid to the affected areas.
