Çirkin Series ends with episode 11: When is the finale?
Another Turkish series has reached an early finale decision only weeks into the new broadcasting season. Star TV’s Çirkin, starring Çağlar Ertuğrul and Derya Pınar Ak, will come to an end with its 11th episode.
The decision was made after the ratings for the series’ 10th episode, which aired on September 27. Turkish media reports say the show failed to attract the level of audience expected in its second season, leading to the decision to end its run.
Çirkin Will Say Goodbye With Episode 11
Produced by 25 Film, Çirkin will officially conclude with its 11th episode on October 4, 2026. Star TV has also released promotional material for the final episode, confirming that the story is heading toward its conclusion.
The series originally premiered on March 29, 2026, and has featured Çağlar Ertuğrul as Kadir Tunalı and Derya Pınar Ak as Meryem Tunalı. The cast also includes well-known names such as Nur Sürer, Çetin Tekindor, Başak Gümülcinelioğlu, Baran Bölükbaşı and Olgun Toker.
The announcement makes Çirkin another early casualty of the current Turkish television season, following the recent finale decisions involving A.B.İ. and Aşk ve Taht.
Why Is Çirkin Ending?
The main factor reported behind the decision is ratings performance.
Although Çirkin entered its second season with an established cast and an ongoing storyline, its latest ratings reportedly did not reach the level needed for the series to continue. Reports about the finale decision emerged immediately after the 10th episode.
The production team later described the decision as being made for reasons that were beyond their control and thanked the cast, crew and Star TV for their work on the series.
What Will Happen in the Final Episode?
The final episode will continue the tense storyline surrounding Kadir and Meryem.
According to Star TV’s official episode information, Meryem’s decision to accept Engin’s marriage proposal leaves Kadir deeply shaken. He attempts to stop the marriage while also finding himself under increasing pressure from prosecutor Arif.
Kadir is preparing to reveal secrets he has kept hidden in an attempt to protect Meryem, while Lale’s plan puts Meryem in an increasingly difficult position. Meanwhile, Cennet decides that Meryem should leave Istanbul, leaving Kadir with a crucial question: can he stop her from going?
The final promotional videos have already been released, with the early ending prompting strong reactions from some viewers on social media.
For Çağlar Ertuğrul, Derya Pınar Ak and the rest of the cast, the journey will therefore end much sooner than some viewers expected. After 11 episodes, Çirkin will officially leave Star TV on October 4, bringing another Turkish drama’s screen run to a close.
