Eşref Tek announced: Çağatay Ulusoy returns with Görkem Sevindik

Fans of Eşref Rüya have received a major surprise just months after the series ended. TİMS&B Productions has officially announced a new project titled Eşref Tek, which will continue the story of one of Turkish television’s most talked-about characters, this time exclusively on Prime Video.

The announcement came with the tagline “Every legend has a beginning”, immediately revealing that the new series will look back at Eşref’s past rather than simply continue the events of the original show.

Çağatay Ulusoy Returns as Eşref

Çağatay Ulusoy is confirmed to return as Eşref Tek, the character he played in Eşref Rüya. The first promotional poster released for the new project features Ulusoy alone, further confirming that Eşref remains at the center of the story.

The new series will explore Eşref’s life before he met Rüya and before he reached the top of Istanbul’s criminal underworld. It is therefore expected to show the experiences, choices and relationships that shaped the powerful figure viewers eventually met in Eşref Rüya.

Görkem Sevindik Joins the New Series

Another familiar face has also been confirmed.

Görkem Sevindik, who played Kadir Yanık in Eşref Rüya, will join Ulusoy in Eşref Tek. The two actors previously shared the screen in the original series, making their reunion one of the first major casting details revealed for the Prime Video project.

However, details about Sevindik’s new character and his relationship with Eşref have not yet been officially revealed.

His involvement has also led to speculation about whether other members of the original cast could return. At this stage, there is no official confirmation that Demet Özdemir or other former cast members will appear.

What Happened to Eşref Rüya?

The announcement comes only a few months after Eşref Rüya ended.

The original series, starring Çağatay Ulusoy and Demet Özdemir, concluded with its 47th episode on June 10, 2026, bringing its two-season television run to an end.

The series had also developed a strong international audience through its partnership with Prime Video. It was sold to more than 70 countries and became one of the Turkish productions with a significant global following.

Rather than returning to television with another conventional season, the new project will go directly to Prime Video.

When Will Eşref Tek Premiere?

Prime Video has been confirmed as the platform, but the premiere date has not yet been announced. TİMS&B’s announcement only says that the series is coming soon.

The full cast and additional production details are also expected to be revealed later.

For now, the confirmed news is enough to excite Eşref Rüya fans: Çağatay Ulusoy is returning as Eşref Tek, Görkem Sevindik is joining him, and the new story will take viewers back to the character’s earlier years before his rise to the top of the criminal underworld.
