State Department issues new security alerts to US citizens in the Middle East

The State Department issued new security alerts at embassies across the Middle East on Tuesday after the recent uptick in attacks between the US and Iran.

Citing “tensions,” the alerts that were issued at almost all American embassies in the Middle East, including Israel, said the security environment remained “complex with the potential for unforeseen escalation.”

The State Department urged US citizens in the Middle East to exercise heightened vigilance and be aware of potential flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions.
