Paris to host French-Saudi Investment Roundtable during MBS visit

Paris will host the French-Saudi Investment Roundtable meeting on Monday, as part of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to the country.

The roundtable will bring together senior government officials, business leaders, and CEOs of major companies from both countries, and it will feature discussions on industrial partnerships, transportation and logistics, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure. Several agreements and memoranda of understanding covering a range of sectors are also expected to be signed.

The meeting builds on the growing economic and investment ties between Saudi Arabia and France, SPA said, adding that it supports joint efforts to expand cooperation, strengthen partnerships between the two countries’ business communities, and translate promising opportunities into high-quality investments and projects that advance their shared interests.

A French presidential source said that the Saudi Crown Prince’s visit to France will include a ministerial meeting focused on diversifying energy supply routes.

The source said there was strong alignment between Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 economic diversification program and France’s “France 2030” investment plan, adding that President Emmanuel Macron will call for increased Saudi investment in France during the visit.

The source also said the Mecca defense agreement was reshaping alliances in light of the new regional landscape.

The Crown Prince’s decision to make France his destination was itself a significant signal given that he rarely travels abroad, the source added.
