Meghan Markle in talks to join Netflix series The Gentlemen season 3

Meghan Markle could be making a major return to acting with Netflix’s The Gentlemen.
Just hours after it was revealed that Meghan Markle was considering a return to acting following her return to the United Kingdom, Variety can confirm that the Duchess of Sussex is in talks to join the third season of Netflix’s “The Gentlemen.”
Theo James stars in the Guy Ritchie series, which has not yet been officially renewed for Season 3. He plays an aristocratic soldier who inherits his late father’s giant estate, only to learn that it is home to an underground cannabis business. The show’s first season was a smash with the streamer, and Season 2 will release on September 3. Markle’s potential role has yet to be specified, and she is thought to be in very early negotiations with no contract in place.

Of course, Meghan Markle’s comeback to acting in a Netflix series makes sense, given that she and the Prince’s Archewell Productions banner already have a deal with the streaming service. Through their agreement, the two have created Markle’s lifestyle show “With Love, Meghan,” which launched her brand As Ever, as well as the docuseries “Heart of Invictus” and “Harry & Meghan,” among others.
Representatives for Meghan Markle and Netflix declined to comment.
Earlier on Friday, the Australian outlet News.com.au reported that the Duchess had been “offered a role in an upcoming project based in the U.K.” Sources close to the Sussexes did not reject the report but added that more information was being withheld.
The news follows her and Prince Harry’s surprise declaration on Wednesday that they will return to the United Kingdom with their two children for an “extended period” after six years in California.
Meghan Markle is best recognized for her breakout role as Rachel Zane in the courtroom drama “Suits,” which she featured in for seven seasons between 2011 and 2018. She has primarily stepped back from acting since marrying Prince Harry in 2018, but she will make a cameo as herself in the upcoming Amazon MGM comedy “Close Personal Friends” alongside Brie Larson and Lily Collins.
Deadline Hollywood was the first to report about Markle’s prospective “The Gentlemen” part.
