Sıla Türkoğlu and Serkan Çayoğlu team up for new Go Türkiye mini-series

Go Türkiye announces Sıla Türkoğlu and Serkan Çayoğlu collaboration.
The Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) is expanding its globally successful Go Türkiye storytelling campaign with another star-led mini-series, bringing together two of Turkish television’s most recognizable faces, Sıla Türkoğlu and Serkan Çayoğlu, in a brand-new production designed to introduce international audiences to the country’s cultural and historical treasures.
According to Turkish entertainment journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the new project will be produced by Süreç Film, marking the first on-screen collaboration between Türkoğlu and Çayoğlu under the Go Türkiye banner. The production continues TGA’s strategy of combining cinematic storytelling with tourism promotion by featuring popular actors in destination-focused mini-series filmed across Türkiye.

The project will be directed by Yunus Ozan Korkut, who most recently drew attention for his work on TRT’s action series Operasyon Alesta. Turkish media report that filming will focus on Ankara, Konya, and Afyonkarahisar, highlighting the region’s rich blend of history, architecture, gastronomy, natural landscapes, and cultural heritage rather than following a traditional television drama format.
While plot details and character descriptions have not yet been revealed, the mini-series is expected to follow the storytelling approach that has become the signature of the Go Türkiye productions. Instead of functioning as conventional tourism advertisements, the projects weave romance, mystery, and adventure into short cinematic narratives that naturally showcase destinations through the journeys of their lead characters.
The announcement comes as the Go Türkiye Mini-Series initiative continues to expand internationally. According to TGA, the series has generated more than 8.2 billion impressions and 4.8 billion views worldwide, making it one of Türkiye’s largest digital tourism campaigns. Since its launch, the initiative has released several productions featuring leading Turkish actors across different regions of the country, each designed to introduce international audiences to local culture and attractions through fictional stories.
Among the campaign’s previous productions are İstanbul My Love, Antalya Gambit, Hidden Lover, An İstanbul Story, and Turquoise Summer, each spotlighting a different destination while blending cinematic visuals with local culture. More recently, the campaign released Whispers of Origins, starring Engin Altan Düzyatan and Özge Gürel, which showcases the historic cities of Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Mardin, and Diyarbakır in southeastern Türkiye.
The addition of Ankara, Konya, and Afyonkarahisar signals another shift in the campaign’s focus, moving beyond Türkiye’s well-known coastal destinations to emphasize the country’s inland cultural heritage. Ankara offers visitors its blend of republican history and modern city life, Konya is internationally recognized for its connection to Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi and centuries-old Seljuk architecture, while Afyonkarahisar is famous for its thermal tourism, historic fortress, and distinctive culinary traditions.
For Sıla Türkoğlu, the project adds another high-profile production to her rapidly growing career following the international success of Kızılcık Şerbeti (Cranberry Sherbet), where she has gained a large global fan base through her portrayal of Doğa. Meanwhile, Serkan Çayoğlu remains one of Türkiye’s most internationally recognized actors thanks to a string of successful television dramas and digital projects that have reached audiences across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Neither TGA nor the production team has announced an official premiere date, episode count, or released first-look images. However, Turkish media report that production preparations are underway, with the series expected to continue Go Türkiye’s mission of promoting the country’s destinations through cinematic storytelling and internationally recognized Turkish television stars.
