Kuwait says intercepting Iran attacks as sirens sound in Bahrain

Kuwait said on Tuesday it was intercepting Iranian attacks, as sirens sounded in Bahrain, with AFP correspondents in the capitals of both countries hearing explosions.
“Kuwait’s air defense is currently intercepting hostile missile and drone attacks as part of the heinous Iranian aggression,” the Kuwaiti defense ministry said on X.
The Bahraini interior ministry said in a separate statement that sirens had sounded and called on residents to “head to the nearest safe place.”
