Trump says he told Iran it’s time to make a deal

US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that conversations with Iran had not stopped despite Tehran’s claims that the exchange of messages had been suspended, adding that he said it was time to make a deal.

“Fake News Reports that the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the U.S.A., stopped speaking a few days ago are false and erroneous,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform.

Media affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have repeatedly said this week that Tehran’s negotiating team had suspended exchanges of messages with the United States through mediators in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

Trump said that talks have been going on continuously, “including four days ago, three days ago, two days ago, one day ago, and today.”

He added: “Where they lead, one never knows, but as I told Iran, ‘It’s time, one way or another, for you to make a Deal. You’ve been doing this for 47 years, and it cannot be allowed to go on any longer!’”
