Saudi, British FMs discuss Middle East developments

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed bilateral ties and recent developments in the Middle East with his British counterpart Yvette Cooper during a meeting in London on Tuesday.
Prince Faisal and Cooper also voiced the importance of guaranteeing the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that it is unacceptable to use the strait as a tool to exert political or economic pressure, SPA added.
The Iran war has sharply curtailed traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, disrupting oil exports and sending energy prices higher.
About a fifth of the world’s oil passes through the strait.
