Erdogan meets Saudi foreign minister in Ankara

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday met Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan in Ankara, where the two sides reviewed bilateral ties and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in support of regional security and stability.
Earlier on Wednesday, Prince Faisal signed a new visa agreement with Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
“The two sides signed an agreement on mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and special passports between the Government of the Kingdom and the Government of the Republic of Turkey,” SPA said.
The agency reported that during their meeting prior to signing the new agreement, the two chief diplomats reviewed bilateral relations between their countries and discussed regional developments as well as ways to maintain security and stability in the region.
They chaired the third meeting of the Saudi Turkish Coordination Council which was established in 2016 with the purpose of a top-level mechanism managing bilateral ties between the two countries.
