Saudi Arabia to host Arab, Islamic foreign ministers in Riyadh on regional security

Saudi Arabia is hosting on Wednesday evening a ministerial meeting in Riyadh gathering several top diplomats to discuss security and stability in the region, the Kingdom’s foreign ministry said.

The Kingdom will host “a consultative ministerial meeting of the foreign ministers of a number of Arab and Islamic countries, with the aim of further consultation and coordination on ways to support the security and stability of the region,” the ministry said in a statement.

The meeting comes amid ongoing regional tension.

The US and Israel began attacks on Iran on February 28. Iran has responded with strikes on Israel and neighboring Gulf countries.
