Anahid Fayyad colleague in “Bab Al-Hara” reveals the reason for her son’s suicide
Anahid Fayyad faces heartbreaking tragedy after shocking claims about her son’s death emerge.
Syrian actor Adnan Abu Shamat revealed in a social media post that Karam, the son of actress Anahid Fayyad and her husband, former Jordanian minister Muthanna Hamdan Gharaibeh, committed suicide at the age of 14 due to bullying.
Following the mystery surrounding the death of the son of the star of the “Bab Al-Hara” series, a colleague revealed shocking new details on his Facebook page: “The handsome, academically gifted, and only son of the beloved actress Anahid Fayyad, a teenager, jumped from a suspension bridge in Amman and died by suicide, citing bullying as the reason.”
He added: “It’s obvious that bullying has profound psychological effects on the victim, especially if they lack knowledge and self-confidence. It shakes their foundations, plunges them into deep psychological crises, and pushes them towards isolation and withdrawal, potentially leading to the same fate as Karam Gharaibeh.”
He continued, “A bully is a potential criminal, and I believe that if they possessed a weapon, they wouldn’t hesitate to use it against their adversaries if they couldn’t kill them psychologically.” And I don’t think he will feel any remorse that his victim lost her life as a result of his actions. He is, by nature, a creature devoid of morals, feelings, and empathy, and he seeks the weak, those he can assume are incapable of responding or defending themselves…”
He concluded: “May God have mercy on the young man, Karam Gharaibeh, and grant patience to his family in their grief. May God help the victims who have been subjected daily, and for a long time now, in our country in particular, to bullying and harassment in the complete absence of protection, deterrent laws, and self-preservation, especially female victims, against whom bullying and harassment in our region reach unprecedented levels of vulgarity, filth, and violation of their honor.”
It is worth noting that Abu Shamat played the role of “Abu Deeb” in “Bab Al-Hara,” while Fayyad played the character “Dalal.”
According to the obituary circulating in Jordanian media, Karam passed away, with the funeral prayer to be held after the Asr prayer on Saturday at the Hawara cemetery in Irbid Governorate, northern Jordan. The family has not yet issued any statement. A further statement revealed the cause of death, amid widespread grief and expressions of solidarity on social media.
Messages of condolence poured in from public figures, artists, and fans, expressing their sympathy to the family and praying for mercy for the deceased and for patience and strength for his parents during this painful time.
