Qiddiya City begins construction of performing arts center

Qiddiya Investment Company announced the start of construction for a performing arts center in Qiddiya City, marking a new phase in the entertainment and cultural development of the project southwest of Riyadh.
The announcement on Monday coincided with a foundation stone-laying ceremony at the project site near the Tuwaiq Mountains, the company said in a statement shared .
Construction works will be carried out by Nesma & Partners.
Managing Director of Qiddiya Investment Company Abdullah Aldawood said during the ceremony that the project would strengthen the city’s cultural offering and support its role as a destination for arts and creative industries.
The performing arts center, designed by Tom Wiscombe Architecture in collaboration with BSBG, features interlocking architectural panels and five illuminated blade-like elements, forming a distinctive landmark within Qiddiya City.
The construction follows the December 2025 launch of the first phase of Qiddiya City, which included the opening of the record-breaking Six Flags Qiddiya City.
The development is part of broader efforts to expand entertainment, sports and cultural infrastructure in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
