Nobel Peace Prize 2025: Venezuela’s Machado unveils freedom vision ahead of award ceremony

Ahead of Wednesday’s Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo, María Corina Machado shared her “Freedom Manifesto” – a roadmap for Venezuela’s democratic future.

In it, she calls for restoring fundamental rights, rebuilding democratic institutions, opening the economy, and ensuring justice for past abuses.

Machado says the manifesto reflects her vision of a Venezuela “reborn in freedom” – a message she’s expected to highlight as she prepares to receive the Peace Prize.
