Russia’s major petrochemical complex working normally after Ukrainian attacks

One of Russia’s largest petrochemical complexes in the southern Bashkortostan region is working normally following attacks by Ukrainian drones, the regional governor said on Wednesday.

Radiy Khabirov said the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat site had come under multiple attacks by Ukrainian drones.

“Their consequences were quickly eliminated. The plant is operating normally,” he wrote on Telegram.

The Salavat petrochemical complex produces gasoline, diesel, kerosene and other petroleum products as well as liquefied gases, butyl alcohols, polyethylene, polystyrene and ammonia.

It has come under Ukrainian attacks multiple times in recent weeks.
