Following Qatar, Bahrain moves to ban Roblox

Qatar has banned Roblox over concerns about children’s safety. Now, Bahrain is discussing to also considering banning the video game, local media confirmed on Monday.
The Daily Tribune reported that Bahraini Member of the Parliament, Hamad Al Doy, is preparing to pass a bill to ban Roblox in the country in a move that follows the same direction as Qatar and Oman amid rising complaints about child safety risks.
The Bahraini official revealed to the media that he is in touch with the relevant authorities and will direct them to act to save children.
Commentators there say the platform draws many children and teenagers and that its open design leaves room for unsuitable content, harassment, and privacy risks.
It is worth noting that Roblox is facing a legal lawsuit in Louisiana amid accusations that the online gaming platform allows sexual predators to “thrive, unite, hunt and victimize kids,”.
