Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez announce engagement

Georgina Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo made their engagement public on Monday, after dating for almost ten years.

Cristiano Ronaldo asked Georgina to marry him by giving her a huge diamond ring—one of the biggest ever worn at a similar event.

Georgina told her fans on her official Instagram account that she was getting engaged by sharing a picture of her ring with the words “Yes, I do… in this life and all my life.”

Even though she had been seen wearing an engagement ring before, the couple hadn’t said they were getting married until Monday.

In an interview on the Netflix show “I Am Georgina,” Cristiano Ronaldo said that he was waiting for the right time to ask her to marry him. “It could happen in a year, in six months, or even in a month,” he said. “I am confident that it will definitely happen.”

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have been dating since the beginning of 2016. In January of that year, they made their first public appearance together at the FIFA The Best Awards in Zurich. In May, they announced their engagement on Instagram.

Their five kids are twins Eva Maria and Mateo (8 years old), a daughter Alana (7 years old), a daughter Bella (3 years old), and Cristiano Jr. (15 years old), Ronaldo’s son from a previous relationship.

They lost their son, Bella’s twin brother, after birth in April 2022. Georgina called it “the best and worst moment of her life” on her show.

During the show, Georgina talked about how she met Cristiano Ronaldo for the first time while working as a sales assistant at a Gucci shop. She talked about how Ronaldo used to come to see her in fancy cars, saying, “Sometimes he would come after work.” I remember that he came in a Bugatti one time. My partner and I would drive the Bugatti while my coworkers took the bus. No one thought it was true.

Ronaldo, for his part, said, “It was funny.” I would wait for her in one of my fancy cars in front of the store. Then we would go home and be alone.

Georgina said that her more than 40 million Instagram fans didn’t know how she really felt about her loss. She also said that Cristiano Ronaldo told her, “Life is hard, but it goes on,” She should get through it and get back to her normal life. I’m strong enough to keep going.
