Michael Jackson’s dirty sock sells for over $8,822

One of the socks worn by American superstar Michael Jackson during his concert in Nice, France, back on June 27, 1997, was sold at a high price at an auction on Wednesday, leaving dozens of fans shocked.

The Michael Jackson sock, initially estimated at between $3,400 and $4,500, was sold for $8,822 at a Benim auction house.

The “iconic” piece was found after the concert near the King of Pop’s dressing rooms in Nice by one of the technicians working on site, explained Aurore Elie, auction commissioner at the Hôtel des ventes de Nîmes auction house.

It is worth noting that the sock, worn by the “King of Pop”, was previously offered for sale at auction on July 21, but did not find a buyer.
